Nexmed Medical now offering Magneto technology with 100 W and 150 W holmium laser systems
Nexmed Medical has introduced Magneto technology to the Quanta System 100W and 150W high-power Ho:YAG laser systems, enabling physicians to perform a wider range of phlebotomy procedures on a single laser platform. The multifunctional laser system integrating this innovative technology is now available under the Cyber Ho brand in six European countries and the Litho brand in the United States.
Magneto technology combines the stable power of the holmium laser with the fine pulverization benefits of the holmium fiber laser (TFL) in one system. With Magneto, physicians can extend the pulse width to 2,000 microseconds and reduce peak power to 500W, which reduces recoil and allows for fine pulverization in stone management that was previously only possible with TFL. Procedures such as Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) will also benefit from this technology.

Magneto-equipped laser systems come standard with Quanta's core technologies of Virtual Basket, Vapor Tunnel and MasterPULSE, and are compatible with all Quanta laser fibers, allowing users of Litho Magneto 100W and 150W laser systems to perform routine procedures without the need to purchase specialized fibers. everyday procedures with the Litho Magneto 100W and 150W laser systems without having to purchase a dedicated fiber.
Nexmed Global’s EchoTip product In an exclusive pre-launch of the needle, Nexmed Global conducted 120 evaluations with endoscopists. Out of the 120 evaluations, 94% of physicians were satisfied and said they would use the needle again. The three attributes of the product that got the highest ratings from physicians were the needle sharpness, minimal puncture force and flexibility.
